Was Spawn Week a Good Idea?

So, after coming onto 2006scape for the first time in several weeks I saw there was a spawn week, this meant, I couldn't really enjoy the glory of how it was back then. What with spawning and increased exp rates, it felt like just any other 317 spawning server. I personally don't think it was a good idea because even though, it was an event, not an update, it makes a bad impression on new players. It also made me stop playing it altogether until Alpha is stable and the mass of players have gone.

I am actually really enjoying it, only because with school and all it is a very good way to get the stress off my back knowing I can just play runescape with all the good items. Does it stick to the "2006scape feeling", no but it is a good "goodbye" to pre-alpha I think.

I agree with that in some ways, gives us some great things to remember pre-alpha by, rather than the constant mutes/bans and continuous connection troubles, at least now it seems like we had a bit of fun with it
