1-99 Mining guide.

Mining is one of my favorite skills, I always wished to get an untrimmed mining skillcape, but I stopped when I got bored of Runescape and Jagex updates.

Powermining - mining ore and dropping it to save time.



1. 1-3lvl. In tutorial island get 1-3 mining by mining copper/tin. (Optional)

2. 1/3-15+lvl. Grab best pickaxe that you can use and go to one of the Varrock's mines. Mine copper or tin ore until you get 15mining. You can choose to bank them for profit, or powermine.

Alternative: Complete Rune Mysteries quest and mine rune/pure essence.

2. 15-30+lvl. Grab best pickaxe. Go to mines near Ardougne or near Varrock and mine iron. Mining iron is pretty good experience, so you have to choose to powermine it or bank it.

3. 30-60+lvl. Grab best pickaxe. Go to Barbarian Village or Lumbridge swamp's mine and mine coal. It is advised to bank it, because it isn't as fast as iron, but it cost more and there will be a big demand on them.

Alternative: Mine iron ore for faster experience.
Alternative: When you reach level 45 you can start mining granite, but it will be slow, so it is not recommended.

4. 60-99lvl. Get best pickaxe (Rune pickaxe is highly recommended). Go to Quarry in Kharidian desert, **get desert robes and waterskins (almost full inventory, only leave 1 space for ore), emergency teleport is recommended in case you run out of water** Find a spot which surrounds you with Granite rocks and start mining. You have to use mine-one-drop-one method for fastest xp and it isn't really worth it to bank your ores.

Alternative: You can still mine iron or coal to 99mining, it's up to you.

** - Needs confirmation that you will need water or not in 2006Scape, because I have heard a rumor that back in 2006 you didn't need any waterskins in desert.
