is Firemaking useless or useful?

So my Debate is the skill Fire-making Pointless or useful because some people say its pointless all people do is light fires down in a row. but then there's the other side like lets say you have to go in a dark tunnel or cave and you need to light a torch but you need a certain fire-making level, so opinions?

Useless after a certain level. You only need it for quests.

Anyways, I'm neutral on the skill. It's required for some quests, and helps when cooking, yet at the same time can be easily replaced and lowers the chance of succeeding in cooking.

Either way, it has its uses and yet it doesn't.

Intelligent Discussion in the Off-Topic forum kinda screams "THIS IS FOR ANYTHING BUT RUNESCAPE". It belongs in Skills Discussions.

I love the firemaking skillcape, but yes, this skill is pretty useless when you reach about 50-60 firemaking. You will only need firemaking when questing and doing DIY as a noob to cook food at cow pens, chicken pens, etc.

Its the most useless of all skills ertainly, but still fun to train every now and then. Cool if you want to level quick i guess.

Considering you can cook food using firemaking when a stove isn't close...I'd say it's pretty useful.

Better train fletching.

It has it's ways of being useful, but if you're only firemaking for the levels it's useless. The skill goes both ways.

Usefull in some ways, but mostly useless to be honest.
