Creeping Concerns

Hey,

Lately, it's been in the back of my mind that 2006scape may not make it. I don't know why, but seeming as were nearing Pre-Alpha, I'm hoping it dosn't happen. I know that were reasonably protected against Jagex, but the bottom line is, it's their source etc. I sincerely hope this isn't the case. Your thoughts?

No worries, 2006Scape will make it. It'll probably going to shut down after 1-2 years ;o .

It's sad to say, but this probably will be the case. Most private servers get shut down. However, they are trying the best they can to not get in any disclaimers it seems.

It will run for a bit, then people will lose interest
Donations go down, the server goes down
Boom, game over

Agree with the party, or...
Run for 1-2 years.
Players start to come in fast now game is out for a year.
Economy just building well.
Too many members gone.
Boom, Jagex go in for the kill.

Or...
Server goes great. Doesn't get shut down, but taken over, so we have to pay to play and a % goes to Jagex, but full control of server remains in Vault's and the dev teams hands

I mean we all have that little concern, but i dont think we should be worried now.

I am not losing confidence but Jagex will probably do something about it.

I reckon the will make it, but if Jagex take it over, it will be better than nothing. Wouldn't have the same feel knowing it's Jagex though.

True. But I feel like if they wanted to shut it down now, they could easily do it. The fact that it is still up makes me hopeful.

I won't be quiting this until I get everything in my Achievement list!

i hope it last's. But chances are once its out for a year and a-bit there will be more content on Youtube (advertisement people will see and want to play), people are gonna tell there old friends who quit etc, members from runescape will probably leave cause of ridiculous updates and come to 2006scape, by then the hype will be so high that jajex will probably end up shutting Vault down.

There are already a lot of people who did quit RuneScape and joined 2006Scape. I'm aware that at least 3-4 good odlschool pkers have joined.
Maybe I'm able to convince "X Helchild X" in playing again. But I didn't had the chance to talk to him yet.

Relief, although, I don't connect to the game very often.

I think it might get ddosed now and then,maybe hacked by some nubish idiots :p.But Jagex won't do anything,iI don't see why,if so they probably shut down soulsplit server a long time ago,even as battlescape back in its good days.
