Just wondering what people would think about using an IRC channel.

I do like this chatbox and all but it takes me about 10 minutes to reply due to no horrible "DING" sound when someone says something. It's also a whole lot easier to idle in an irc than it is in the chatbox as I keep getting timed out due to inactivity.

Just wanted to see if people have similar thoughts to me about this or if I'm just being picky.

I like the chatbox, maybe there is a way we can make it so we don't get timed out. IRC is a smart idea though.

It's a fair enough idea, but not really neccessary. If everybody just gets Skype, we won't have a problem. There's already a SFT clanchat in Skype with tonnes of our active users, and you can group voice call as well using that. I prefer Skype groups over an IRC any day.

I mean skype really over rules the IRC chat. Not only do we have a group conversation going on, but you can look at past conversations from when you were offline and others were talking, and you can have a group talk over mics.

I agree with Thefty. We should stick to skype for those reasons. Also, skype is free to use and easy to download. I think that everyone who hasn't got skype should get it now.
